Kyra Minturn
Kyra Minturn, who was born August 19, 1965 was an American actress. She is also an actor and producer. Her role as the main character in TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick won an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The series ended after the seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her part in Brooklyn Nine-Nine's sitcom Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles in films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996), What's cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was an New York City native, the daughter Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), an educator and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VI as a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish, and her father was Episcopalian. Sedgwick was of English descent. Sedgwick says she is Jewish and says she goes to Passover seders.
